HB/ENO Responds to CO Detector Call on Oak Level-Elva Road

Harvey-Brewers/ENO Fire Departments responded earlier this morning to a complaint of a carbon monoxide detector alerting a hazardous condition on Oak Level-Elva Road.  Units on scene, equipped with multiple gas detectors discovered a high level of carbon monoxide in the residence.  Ventilation and termination of the heat source causing the conditions reduced the dangerous conditions.

Just as a reminder to everyone with propane or natural gas devices in the home, make sure to inspect your CO detectors and ensure fresh batteries.  If the detector does alert, turn off devices that potentially can cause the situation and ventilate your enclosed areas and contact emergency services and/or the appropriate service, such as your gas company, HVAC, etc.

Unit Responding:  Brush 2
